Practical info – Les Médiévales
The medieval festival takes place at the foot of Saint Aubin du Cormier Castle in the commune of Saint Aubin du Cormier, in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine, in the heart of the Couesnon Valley.
How to get there?
By car:
From the A84, take exit 28. Then, at the roundabout, follow the D794 towards ‘Gosné / Saint Aubin du C. / Gendarmerie’.
Continue straight on for 200 metres, then at the roundabout take the D812 exit towards ‘Fougères / Saint Aubin du C. / Gendarmerie’.
Continue for 150 metres, then at the “Biocoop / Carrefour Market” roundabout, continue for 500 metres along “Rue de Rennes / D812”.
Turn right onto Rue du Maréchal Leclerc towards “Centre ville / Parking 200 places / Château / Étang”. Continue for 500 metres. On your left, park in the Champs de Foire car park opposite the Town Hall.
Walk past the Town Hall on your right along “Rue du Pont Joachim”, then continue straight on along “Rue de l’Étang” until you see the pond. You have arrived at the Medieval Festival.
By bus:

Get off at the “Paillote” stop in Saint Aubin du Cormier. It’s an 11-minute walk towards “Centre-ville / Château / Étang”, following Rue du Maréchal Leclerc, then Rue du Pont Joachim, and finally Rue de l’Étang until you see the pond. You’ve arrived at the Medieval Festival.
By bike:
3 minutes from our partner Breizh Rando Cycle, located at 16, Rue de Rennes, 35140 Saint Aubin du Cormier. Please bring a helmet and a high-visibility vest for your safety.

Timetable for the medieval festival and the free show at the foot of the castle
- Medieval market and entertainment from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm
- Free show (castle): 3.00 pm and 6.00 pm. Duration: 20 minutes.
- From 7.00 pm, Place Alexandre Veillard: Medieval farces, Fest-Noz followed by the ‘Moher BZH’ concert

- From 11.30 am to 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday

The Association 1488 has not been granted an exemption regarding mobility impairments for its event ‘Les Médiévales du Grand Staobin’.
Eco-friendly practices
We encourage our visitors to support the event’s eco-friendly initiative by recycling waste. A waste sorting station is available on site.
Smoking is prohibited in the children’s play areas and introductory activity zones, the natural terraced seating area for the show, and the seating area in the catering zone.
